Union Beach School District utilized a very creative approach to maximize the solar impact. The school leveraged rooftops and parking lots across the district to maximize the size and impact of the solar system. The district utilized solar canopies over the bus drop off area to shield students and teachers from the elements, creating really positive feedback from parents in the community. The solar PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) insulates the district from any operational or maintenance requirements while providing long term cost savings through a discounted energy rate.
