MADISON SQUARE GARDEN
Since the first Madison Square Garden (MSG) opened in 1879, the arena has served as the capital for sporting and entertainment events in New York City. By partnering with Brightcore, MSG was able to upgrade their locker room, training room, and weight room lighting systems to a quality deserved by “The World’s Most Famous Arena.”
Although MSG had previously converted to LEDs, they were not satisfied with them aesthetically or functionally. Specifically, the Rangers and Knicks were looking for a lighting system that allowed them to manually adjust for brightness and color. To meet these needs, Brightcore Energy provided them with a dimmable LED integrated fixture from Lithonia.
-
Simple payback of 4.8 years
-
Average useful life of 20+ years
-
Net energy costs savings of $1k per year (replaced LEDs)
-
Aesthetic control goals achieved
- 4,000 kWh energy saved annually
- $1,000 annual savings
- 3,257 Pounds of coal burned (equivalent carbon reduction)
"Working with Brightcore on our locker room lighting project at MSG was a great experience. They treated our space as though it was their own home and made it a priority to finish the work in record time – well ahead of schedule. We will consider them for any lighting project we may have in the future, regardless of size and scope."
